Understanding Residential Development in Lane Cove

This is an essential event for anyone in the Lane Cove local council area who is thinking of building a new home or renovating their current one. Council planners explain what is required in creating development proposals in Lane Cove, as well as what is necessary during building. The hour-long talk will cover Development Application provisions, heritage and bushland-adjacent properties, and answers to any questions you may have.

Robotics Demo and Talk

Hear from students at Normanhurst Boys’ High School about the robot they built to compete in the First Robotics Australia Regional Competition. Held at Sydney Olympic Park, they competed against teams from Hawaii, China, Taiwan and Singapore, as well as from around Australia. The students will discuss the competition, their team roles and robotics in general. This talk will be held at Hornsby Library.

Dog’s Day Out

Ku-ring-gai Council will be holding the annual Dog’s Day Out at St Ives Showground this Sunday. There will be a selection of free education talks, food stalls and dog trick competitions. This is a great opportunity for dog owners to get valuable information about the health and wellbeing of their pet.
