Winter is coming, and for your pooch that means a Game of Bones themed doggy day out. Come Sunday April 10 you and your pawed partners are invited to a day of fun at St Ives Showground. Running from 10am-3pm the event will include talent shows, dress up contests, dog races and that’s just for the dogs! The whole family is invited to enjoy face- painting, entertainment for the kids and learn more about keeping your pets healthy and happy!
Owners are encourage to dress up their dogs in Game of Thrones costume in accordance with the Game of Bones, creativity will be rewarded with the coveted Best Dressed Pet Prize on the day! No dog will be left without a prize with a range of competitions to suit every shape and size. Including dog races, best trick, biggest catch, best collar/ leash, cutest puppy, best bitza and best dog and owner look alike events.
Experts on the day will include animal behaviourist, dog trainers and experienced vets to tackle all your questions. The NSW Siberian Express and Australian Sled Dog Association as well as the Northern Suburbs Dog Training Club will be on hand to show off their prized pooches tricks and dance moves too! Or make your dog the most stylish in the park with a showcase of pet products on display including personalised pet collars, quality pet food, pet clothing and all kinds of pet accessories.
If you don’t have pet of your own just yet welfare organisations and animal rescue will be here on the day to connect you with a new furry best friend!
The first 300 owners to arrive on the day will receive a showbag filled with goodies for looking after and loving your pet! And Ku-ring-gai Council will be on hand to help owners old and new make sure their pet is registered, micro-chipped and eager to answer any pet questions!
The event is free and families are welcome to bring a picnic lunch or savour something from the range of food stalls. Owners are asked to keep their dogs on leads at all times and pick up after them to ensure a clean and enjoyable day for everyone!
