Residents in the North Shore are fortunate to have some of the best vantage points for The New Year’s Eve fireworks. Sydney Observer shares some of our favourite spots to bring in the New Year.

Blues Point Reserve

Where: Blues Point Rd, McMahons Point

Cost: Adults $40, Children (3-15 years old) $20

This spot is always popular to have a ‘ring-side’ seat to the western side of the Harbour Bridge. Live DJ and dancefloor will be available to help you dance your way into 2019.

 

Bradfield Park

Where: Alfred St, Milsons Point

Cost: Free

As a popular and free vantage point for the fireworks it’s best to arrive early for this spot. Food will be sold at the park and open till 1am.

 

Cremorne Point Reserve

Where: Cremorne Point, Cremorne

Cost: Free

This leafy spot opens at 1pm and will have partial views to the fireworks. Food and Drink will be available to purchase at the reserve.

 

Balls Head Point Reserve

Where: Balls Head Drive, Waverton

Cost: Free

This peaceful spot is hidden in the bush and looks out across the Harbour. Some of the bush tracks can be steep but well worth it for the view.

 

Carradah Park

Where: Larkin Drive, Waverton:

Cost: Free

The perfect spot to have a family picnic and watch the fireworks. The park has partial views of the harbour and is often full by afternoon.

 

Observatory Hill Park

Where: Upper Fort St, Millers Point

Cost: Free

Find a spot on the grass to take in the view! Be mindful that some of the large trees will block the view so it is best to get in early when it opens at 12pm.

 

Taronga Zoo

Where: Bradleys Head Rd, Mosman

Cost: Silver Reserve Adults $200, Concession $180, Children $110, Families (2+2) $558
